Lincoln Academy’s girls’ tennis team clipped the Panthers 3-2 in the KVAC season opener on Monday in Waldoboro. Medomak collected wins at first and second doubles. Kelly Leidenroth topped Katie Williams 3-6, 7-5, 6-1. Skylar Carrol beat Sara Balch 2-6, 7-6, 6-3.
The Lady Eagles won both doubles matches and at third singles. Carly Erskine beat Hayley Turner 6-1, 6-4. Ashlee Hartford and Kelsey Leeman teamed up to beat Lindsay Oldroyd and Kaye Peabody 6-4, 6-2. Sophie D’Anieri and Jessica Ford topped Mallory Robbins and Ariele Rancourt in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
In exhibition action, Eagles Autumn Sonia and Olivia Genthner beat Caitlyn Curry and Rebecca Robinson 6-2, and Sierra Eugley and Izzy Zaidi topped Isabel Lobley and Danica Dever 7-5.
