Lincoln Academy girls track and field team placed seventh at the KVAC championships out of 17 teams. Two Lady Eagles won KVAC titles. Mili Zapata broke her own record in the javelin (114’7”) to take first. Zapata hails from Argentina, where she competes on a club track team.
Tahlia Mullen successfully defended her 400 KVAC title with a first place finish in 1:00.08. Mullen placed second in the 200 in 26.99.
Olivia Richmond placed in four events, taking fourth in the high jump (4’8”), sixth in the 300 hurdles in 52.4, seventh in the triple jump (31’9.25″) and seventh in the 100 hurdles in 18.27. Toru Fiberisima placed fourth in the 100 in 13.01.
Lincoln girls placed thrid in the 4×100 relay in 53.09 with Danielia Riddell, Julianna Lafrenaye, Alison York and Fiberisima runnign a leg. They pladced sixth in the 4×800 relay in 11:21 with Maddy Archer, Amelia Rosko, Emma Allen and Essie Martin.
Leavitt won the girls team tile with 82.33 points, 2. Lawrence 72.5, Belfast 65, Camden 65, Watevile 63, Maranacook 61, Lincoln 48.
