Oceanside girls basketball team was handed a 47-45 overtime win on silver platter, after officials called a shot by Ashley Gardner taken after the buzzer sounded good Friday night in Rockland.
Coach Kevin Feltis was beside himself, but his arguments with officials landed on deaf ears and the basket stood.
Lincoln stalled most of the overtime period away, then turned the ball over with six seconds to play. Oceanside’s first shot missed, and Gardner picked up the rebound at the foul line.
The Mariners were led by Emily Gould 16 and Gardner 13. The Eagles were led by Taylor Oliver 10 and Brie Wajer 8.
