Lincoln Academy girls softball team defeated Belfast 6-5 in the Eagles nest on May 1. Kortney McKenna struck out 10 in the win. Brooke Richard took the loss for the Lions.
Lincoln led 6-2 after two innings, then held off the Lady Lions in late innings to win by one. Hitting for the Eagles were Emily Kelsey with a double and single, McKenna a triple, and Joy Hedrick, Lexi Hartford, Anna Hatch, Belle Sawyer and Khloe Poland a single each. Kylie Faulkingham and Richards had a single each for Belfast.
