Kasey Benner hit a two run triple in the bottom of the 7th inning to propel Medomak softball over Mt.Ararat 7-5 in pre-season scrimmage action on Monday.
Medomak took a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning Vanessa Davis tripled, Mallory Conary walked and both scored on balls put in play by Lindsay Ranquist and Benner. The Eagles tied the game in the top of the 3rd. The Panthers took the lead in the home half of the 3rd when Conary singled and stole around the horn and scored on a passed ball. Medomak added two runs in the 6th to take a 5-2 lead. Jessica Koon reached on an error, Maria Ennamorati walked and both scored on an Amanda Hendrickson single.
Mt.Ararat took advantage of three errors, a walk and a single to Riendeau to knot the score in the top of the 7th. Medomak rallied. Ericka Christensen reached on an error, Kayla Santheson walked and both came home on Benner’s game winning triple.
Santheson collected the win (11K,5H,3B). Hitting for the Lady Panthers were Benner and Davis with a triple each, and Conary, Hendrickson, Vose and Tracy a single each.
