The weather was picture perfect for the second annual Medomak Valley High School Triathlon on Saturday at Ayer Park in Union. Participants swam a quarter mile in Seven Tree Pond, biked 13 miles and ran three miles to raise funds for MVHS Class of 2015.
Scott Layton, 37, of Rockport, was the overall winner in a time of 1:03:40, beating out Herbert Coolidge by over four minutes. Coolidge was the over 50’s age category winner. Lucy Carr was the first female finisher, and placed sixth overall in 1:11:43.
