Oceanside 6 – Lincoln 1
The 9&10 Lincoln County Little League All-Stars lost to a strong Oceanside team 6-1 in District 2 play. Lincoln County jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as Levi Farrin scored on a Cody Cleveland single. That would be the only run Lincoln would score.
Oceanside went on to score four runs in the bottom of the third, and two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 6-1.
Hitting for Lincoln County were Levi Farrin, Cody Cleveland, and Ben Sawyer with a single each. Brady Wadsworth hit a double and single, Connor Calderwood a triple and Liam O’Neal a double to Oceanside in hitting.
Lincoln 4 – Waldo 3
Lincoln County 9 &10 Little League all-star rallied from behind to beat Waldo 4-3 in District 2 pool play on Tuesday. Lincoln trailed 3-1, before pulling within one going into the sixth and final inning. Even Lord hit a triple and scored on an error to tie the game. Cody Cleveland walked, stole second and scored the game winner on a Joshua Dualan single.
Miles Wotton was the winning pitcher. Ben Sawyer started and Lord and Cooper Waltz pitched middle relief.
