Lincoln 9&10 Baseball Splits Games

Lincoln 16 – Waldo 11Lincoln County 9&10 Little League baseball all-stars defeated Waldo 16-11 in their final game of District 2 round robin play on July 10. The win was not enough to get Lincoln in the final round of four for the District 2 crown.

Chris Sullivan got the start and Kolton McKenney and Dalton Waltz pitched in relief in the win.

Lincoln trailed 11-5 in the 5th inning, before scoring eight runs on eight walks to take the lead. They added another three runs in the 6th. Bryce York hit two doubles and a single for Lincoln’s only hits of the game.

Hitting for Waldo were Kenna Brewer and Devin Davis with two each and Colby Furror, Liam Cail, and Brandon Reynolds one each.Knox Suburban 17 – Lincoln 1Teddy Matel drew a walk in the 1st inning and scored for Lincoln County’s only win against Knox Suburban. Turbin Daniels collected the win for Knox in the four-inning mercy ruling, allowing just one hit, a single to Hunter Allen. Hitting for Knox were Mitchell Delfrante with a triple and two doubles, Sam Townsend a triple, double and single, Uriah Thourgshone a triple and two singles, Jack Moody three singles, and Isaac Kieran, Ach Cote, and Will Davee a single each.
