Lincoln Academy boys’ basketball team picked up their third straight win Tuesday night, on the road at Nokomis 75-47. Four players scored in double figures in the balanced attack, including Feltis, Ben McLain, Brandon Reilly and Ethan Wajer. “We played a little better,” coach John Gosselin said.
The Eagles soared to a 28-12 1st quarter lead, sparked by Andrew Feltis off the bench with 10 points in the quarter. Lincoln led 39-26 at the half and 53-33 at the end of three in the lopsided contest.
Scoring for Lincoln were Feltis 16 (3-3’s), Wajer 15, McLain 13, Reilly 13, Pat Mullin 7, Stephen Quinlan 4, Kyle Scherer 3, Everett Martin 2 and Jalen Lincoln 2. Scoring for Nokomis were Chris Braley 25, Feliz Schafer 7, Jack Welch 4, Conor Higgins 4, Ruel Libby 4, Austin Chipman 2 and Drew Wing 1.
Lincoln led the entire game, leading 11-3 at the quarter, 26-13 at the half and 41-23 at the end of three. Scoring for the Eagles were Pat Mullin 18, Ben McLain 12, Ethan Wajer 9, Kyle Scherer 5, Everett Martin 4, Merritt Wotton 1 and Reilly 1. Scoring for Winslow were Justin Murray 17, Jake Wheeler 6, Nick Raymond 6, McCann 3 and Cody Price 2.
Lincoln lead 15-9 after a tight 1st quarter, that saw the Eagles score the final seven points of the frame to surge ahead. Everett Martin scored on a Ben McLain feed, Wajer on a pass from Martin, and McLain off his own steal and foul shot for a three point play.
Belfast pulled within two to kick off the 2nd period, before Lincoln rattled off six straight on a hoop from Brandon Reilly and two from Marin. Lion Adam Heroux scored, before Pat Mullin scored back-to-back hoops including a three-pointer. The Eagles went into the halftime break with a 26-17 lead.
Wajer scored back-to-back hoops at the start of the 3rd to boost the Eagles’ lead to double digits. Lincoln played a conservative quarter with good shot selection to control the clock and maintain an 11-point lead, 34-23 going into the final period.
Lincoln out scored Belfast 18-8 in the final period to win by 21.

Scoring for Belfast were Heroux 8, Dustin Howes 6, Eric Mitchell 5 (11R), Brad Reed 4, Dylan Webster 3, Derrick Bernosky 3, and Jamie Jackson 2.
