Medomak boys placed second to Brunswick, and LA fifth in a six-team meet in their KVAC opener at Morse April 14. Medomak girls placed third and Lincoln Academy fifth. Team points were awarded to the top six athletes in each event.
Mike Gilman won the shotput (37’7″) and was 4th in the discus (92’11”). Ian Rixon won the racewalk in 8:10.
Jonathan Hendrickson-Belloguet placed 2nd in the triple jump (36’1.5″), and 3rd in the 300 in 1:00 in 12.1 and 200 in 25.72. Nelson Tolman took 2nd in the discus (98’4″), 5th in the shotput (31’2″), and 6th in the javelin (96’8″). Michael Canfield took 3rd in the 1600 racewalk in 12.27. Joe Murphy was 4th in the 800 in 2:29 and Taylor Packard 5th in 2:30. Dan Winchenbach was 5th in the long jump (14’11”). Brendon O’Donnell was 6th in the 1600 in 5:28.
Medomak placed 2nd in the 4×800 in 10:05 with Murphy, O’Donnell, Packard and Quinton Vannah, and 3rd in the 4×400 in 4:50 with Anderson Genthner, Nicholls and Sproul.
Lincoln Academy boys placed 3rd in the 4×800 in 10:26 with Nick Smelcer, Nate Friant, Julian Frink and Will Hadden. Alex Braley placed 2nd in the javelin with a throw of 111’11”, and 6th in the shotput (30’5″). Smelcer placed 3rd in the 3200 in 11:52 and 4th in the 1600 in 5:26. Ben Conary placed in three events, taking 4th in the 400 in 1:01, and 5th in the 100 in 12:55 and 200 in 25.94. Hadden placed 5th in the 1600 in 5:26 and 6th in the 3200 in 12:28. Josh Sullivan was 6th in the 400 in 1:03.
Medomak girls placed 2nd in the 4×100 relay in 57.79 with Ashley Rackliff, Leary, Ennamorati and Amanda Young. The Lady Eagles placed 2nd in the 4×400 relay in 5:09 with Otterbein, Nevans, Ziegra and Martin.
In Lincoln Academy girls’ track action, Teiga Martin won the 400 in 1:09 and placed 5th in the 800 in 2:59. Laura Otterbein won the 300 hurdles in 1:00 and was 4th in the 100 hurdles in 20.16. Hannah Nevans was 4th in the 400 in 1:15. Olivia Osbourne took 5th in the 1600 in 7:41 and 6th in the 100 hurdles in 20.66. Heidi Ziegra was 5th in the shotput (22’5″). Ploy Intarawot was 5th in the discus (65’2″).
