Sawyer Pinkham pitched a seven inning shutout to lead Lincoln Academy baseball to a 1-0 win over Oceanside in their KVAC opener April 22 in Thomaston.
Nick Mazurek struck out 12 in the loss.
After five scoreless innings, Devin Scherer hit a double to center field and scored on a ground ball single to right field from Wally Morris for the game winner in the sixth.
