Morse defeated Lincoln Academy 9-2 in KVAC baseball action on May 31 in the Eagles nest. The two teams went four and a third innings on May 28 before the game was halted for heavy rain and dangerous conditions. Morse was ahead 2-0, but The Eagles and Shipbuilders had to start at ground zero on Friday, and play a complete game.
Jackson Walker collected the win (8K, 3H, 1B, 1R) in 4.2 innings. Gus Hunt took the loss for the Eagles (5H, 4B, 1HP, 4K, 6R).
Morse took advantage of four errors in the second inning to take a 5-0 lead. Lincoln got on the boards in the home half of the inning on back to back singles to Sullivan Fink and Colby Clark. The Shipbuilders added a run in the fifth and three in the sixth on three errors.
Lincoln plated a run in the bottom of the seventh when freshman Nick Prior singled and scored on a Gus Hunt ground out.
Hitting for Lincoln were Quincy Perry and Fink with two singles each, and Tiger Cumming, Clark and Prior one each. Hitting for Morse were Austin Magliozzi with two singles, and Ty Knowlton, Asa Hodgdon, Walker, Caleb Tibbetts and Thomas Gould a single each.
