After a one-year absence, Lincoln Academy boys’ basketball team made a short run in the West Class B playoffs at the Portland Expo. The Valentine’s Day match-up with Falmouth was not very sweet for the Eagles, who lost 68-42 in a lopsided quarterfinal game. Falmouth jumped out to a 21-6 first quarter lead, and led 29-18 at the half and 53-32 at the end of three. Falmouth was the third seed, and Lincoln the seventh seed.
Scoring for the Eagles were Ben McLain 14 (2-3’s), Ethan Wajer 7, Everett Martin 6, Andrew Feltis 6, Matt Poole 4, Brandon Reilly 3 and Kyle Scherer 2. Scoring for Falmouth were Stefano Mancini 25 (3-3’s), Jack Wyman 8, Jack Cooleen 8, Hornin 6, Registe 5, Mokarzel 4, Roberts 4, Rogers 4, and Laplante 3.
