The Lincoln Academy boys swim team won a tri-meet with Winslow and Boothbay on Jan. 23 at the Boothbay Region YMCA. The Eagles scored 66, Winslow 20, and Boothbay 1.
Lincoln won all three relays, including the 200 medley in 2:14 with Alejandro Ramos, Abe Steinberger, Camden Reiss, and Tommy Thelander; the 200 free in 1:45 with Camden Gulden, Anton Kalmysh, Whitman Vaughn, and Noah Jordan; and the 400 free in 4:07 with Vaughn, Kalmysh, Gulden, and Nathan Osborne.
Lincoln also took third in the 200 free relay in 4:07 with Thelander, Nicholas Miaoulis, Osborne, and Steinberger; and the 400 free relay in 4:50 with Theo Seidel, Miaoulis, Alejandro Ramos, and Osborne.
Jordan won two events: the 200 free in 2:14 and the 100 free in 1:00. Gulden won two events: the 100 fly in 1:04 and the 100 back in 1:07. Thelander placed second in the 200 free in 2:35.
Vaughn took second in two events, the 50 free in 26.75 and the 100 free in 1:00. Ramos placed second in the 500 free in 7:42, and Seidel third in 8:03. Reiss took second in the 100 back in 1:10 and third in the 100 fly in 1:19. Steinberger placed second in the 100 breast in 1:25.
Boothbay’s Chris Groneng placed third in the 50 free in 27.89.
Girls results
Winslow girls won with 36 points, edging out Lincoln Academy 32 and Boothbay 25.
The Lady Eagles won the 400 free relay in 4:49 with Cassie Leeman, Annie Farnsworth, Kate Laemmle, and Sammy Ober, and placed second in 5:04 with Kristyna Skyvova, Jordan Farrin, Samantha Aho, and Elise Dumont.
Lincoln took second in the 200 medley relay in 2:18 with Anna Sirois, Farrin, Dumont, and Essie Martin, and third in the 200 free relay in 2:05 with Laemmle, Ober, Farnsworth, and Martin.
Farrin won the 500 free in 7:52. Ober took second in the 200 IM in 2:57 and third in the 100 breast in 1:27. Martin took second in two events, the 50 free in 29.0 and the 100 free in 1:05. Dumont placed second in the 100 fly in 1:17. Sirois was third in the 100 back in 1:18, and Laemmle third in the 200 free in 2:35.
Evy Case won two events for Boothbay girls, the 50 free in 28.92 and 100 breast in 1:25. Lincoln Hamblet was second in the 200 free in 2:33. Nicole LeBreque took second in the 100 back in 1:18 and third in the 100 fly in 1:17. Samantha Carter placed second in the 500 free in 7:57 and third in the 200 IM in 3:05. Brenna Alley took third in the 100 free in 1:06.
Boothbay girls took second in the 200 free relay in 2:02 with Hamblet, LeBrecque, Emma Pearce, and Case; third in the 100 medley relay in 2:19 with LeBrecque, Hamblet, Case, and Pearce; and third in the 400 free relay in 5:20 with Jaime Wheeler, Genevieve Taylor, Molly Thibault, and Carter.
