Lincoln Academy girls’ lacrosse numbers are solid with 25 players out for the team. It will be a building year for the Lady Eagles, with roughly half of the players brand new to sport.
“It is a good group of girls. We have a strong group of returning players,” coach Amanda Armstrong said.
Lincoln won four games in 2009. Armstrong said her goal for the season is “I just want the girls to have fun and enjoy themselves. It is definitely a building year. We lost a lot of our offense, graduating the entire attack.”
Seniors on this year’s team include captain Molly Stackhouse, captain Katie Jackson, Sammi Spear, exchange student Eva Schroeder, Arielle Rancourt, So Young Park, Kelsea Miller, Allison Fischer and manager Nellie Shannon; juniors captain Katrina Belle, Phoebe Arnold, Sophie Belanger, Grace Bibber, Celia Howland, Emily Pierce, Lindsey Smerdon, Miranda Sprague, and Michaela Vinal; sophomore Lexi Fossett; and freshmen Nicky Cavalieri, Eliza Cole, Ashley Cushing, Charlotte Nutt, Marissa Pendleton, Jordan Plummer and Kylie Pendleton.
