Lincoln Academy and Medomak Valley girls basketball teams defeated Mt. Ararat and Nokomis, and Medomak boys beat Mt. Ararat and Waterville in the Matthew Budrow
Memorial Basketball Tournament on Saturday at Lincoln Academy.
All proceeds went to the Matthew Budrow Memorial Scholarship fund. Lincoln boys lost to Mt. Ararat and beat Waterville.

Mt. Ararat jumped out to a 17-10 first quarter lead, and held off the Eagles to win 62-52 in game one of the tournament. Shy Ulrickson led the Mt. Ararat charge with 31
points (4-3s), followed by Mike Crawford 10, Kevin Carter 6, Zach Garby 4, and Alex Lafountain. Scoring for the LA Eagles were Devin Scherer 15, Travis Creamer 10,
Brady Leeman 7, Sawyer Pinkham 7, Cole Leeman 4, Riley Cushing 2, and Tyler Stevens 2.
Medomak 67 – Mt. Ararat 62
Medomak led 26-22, 41-28, and 54- 48, at the quarter breaks to hold off the Eagles for a 67-62 win. Scoring for the Panthers were Noah Beck 15, Nick DePatsy 15, Cameron
Allaire 12, Colton Spear 10, Micah Williamson 9, Tyler Emerson 4 and Robert Cole 2. Scoring for Mt. Ararat were Mason Griffin 23, Ulrickson 16, Mike Crawford 10, Carter
7, Garvey 4, and Garrett Bolduc 2.
Medomak 62 – Waterville 52
Medomak out scored Waterville 21-15 in the third quarter to take an 11 point lead into the final quarter in their 62-52 win in their second game of the Budrow
tournament. Scoring for Medomak were DePatsy 19, Williamson 13, Spear 11, Beck 7, Jackson Vail 5, Allaire 4, Cale Gee and Zidane McMurrin 2 each. Scoring for Waterville
were Nick Elias 15, Devin Begin 14, Corey Huerfano 8, Adam Barre 7, Justin Konsey 6, and John Violette 2.
Lincoln 74 – Waterville 41
Lincoln boys wrapped the Budrow tournament with a 74-41 win over the Purple Panthers of Waterville. Sawyer Pinkham had the hot hand, drilling six 3-pointers and going 5
for 5 at the foul line to lead the Eagles with 23 points. Also scoring for Lincoln were Riley Cushing 9, Cody Tozier 9, Brady Leeman 6, Nathan Masters 6, Shane Pan 4,
John Henry 4, Tyler Stevens 4, and Taylor Holmes and Creamer 2 each.
Scoring for Waterville were Violette 9, Elias 5, Huerfano 5, Michael Nigro 5, Begin 5, Justin Konsey 3, Martin 3, Ben Cox 2, Gavin LaChance 2, and Barre and
Demetrius Ramirez 1 each.

The Lady Eagles opened the girls tournament with a 59-47 win. Twelve Eagle players scored in the win, including Brie Wajer 9, Leslie Sandefur 8, Olivia York 7, Taylor
Oliver 7, Avae Traina 5, Kaitlyn Feltis 5, Chloe Hallowell 3, and Sophie Schumacher, Danielle Pinkham, Alyx York, and Dorothy Hodous 2 each.
Scoring for Mt. Ararat were Lauren Labbing 11, Lindsay Cornelison 11, Kattie Labbay 5, Sara Lamb 5, Nikki Bradstreet 3, Allison Melcher 3, Katelyn Cox 2, and Taylor
Wienckowski 1.
Medomak 60 – Mt. Ararat 57
Medomak girls won their opening game 60-57 over Mt. Ararat. The Lady Panthers scored 21 points in the third quarter, including going 10 for 15 at the foul line to take
a six point lead. Scoring for Medomak were Hannah Marks 18, Hannah Heald 9, Maggie Cox 8, Justice Barrows 7, Gabby DePatsy 6, Sophie Cohen 5, Paige Mason 3, Krista
Hooper 2, and Nicole Obuchon 2.

Medomak 54 – Nokomis 47
Medomak girls basketball shot 17 for 18 at the foul line to beat Nokomis 54-47 in their second game of the Budrow tournament. Scoring for the Panthers were Marks 31 (7
for 7 at line), Heald 6, Barrows 5, Cox 4, Hallie Kunesh 3, DePatsy 2, Mason 2, and Obuchon 1. Scoring for Nokomis were Chelsea Crockett 9, Sydney Moore 8, Olivia Brown
8, Reagan Wires 6, Mikayla Charteis 6, Hanna Cloutier 4, and Austin Leighton 3.
Lincoln 40 – Nokomis 29
Stifling Lady Eagle defense held Nokomis to under 30 points, in Lincoln’s 40-29 win in their second game of the tournament. Scoring for the Eagles were Wajer 13, Oliver
8, Pinkham 4, Traina 4, Samantha Burke 4, Hallowell 3, and Sandefur and A. York 2 each.
Scoring for Nokomis were Mikayla Charteis 8, Brown 7, Moore 4, Hannah Meseway 4, and Crockett, Jess Cloutier and Wires 2 each.
