Medomak Valley football won their opening game of the season 14-13 Saturday afternoon over Bucksport. The win came in their very first game as a varsity sport. The Panthers tied the game in the final minute, then scored an extra point to win by one.
Lincoln Academy girls soccer team defeated Belfast 2-1 in the KVAC opener in Belfast on Saturday. Ally Wehrle scored the first goal, before Belfast knotted the score. Lillian Bisset scored the game winner for the Lady Eagles.
Lincoln Academy field hockey lost to Maranacook 8-0 on Saturday and lost to Morse 4-0 on Friday. The Lady Eagles had seven varsity players out with injuries in Saturday loss to the Black Bears.
