The Lincoln Academy girls tennis team defeated Waterville 4-1 to win the 2015 KVAC championship on May 27 in Newcastle. Both teams were undefeated going into the championship match.
At first singles, Leslie Sandefur defeated Emma Cristan 6-4, 6-3. Cris Garcia won 6-0, 6-3 against Olivia Benissan at second singles, and at third singles, Nettie Hoagland won 6-0, 6-0 against Julia Sagaser. Polina Scimone and Shiann Keene took the loss for the Eagles 0-6, 0-6 against Fotini Shanos and Chelsea Cayer at first doubles.
Kate Westhaver and Hana Hirano won in second doubles 6-1, 6-3 against Sammi Saulter and Clio Bazkas.
The KVAC title win was the first for the Lady Eagles.
