After dropping their first two games of the season, the Lady Eagles picked up back-to- back wins over Oak Hill and Rockland to improve to 2-2.
Lincoln took a 10-7 lead at the quarter and extended it to 23-18 at the half. Macy MacArthur crashed the glass for two to kick off the 3rd period and pull Rockland within three. Lincoln answered the threat with a run of 13 straight points, highlighted by nine from Laura Soohey to take a double-digit lead. The Eagles led 38-22 at the break.
Rockland rattled off nine straight points in the 4th, but were unable to catch the Eagles.
Scoring for Lincoln were Bolster 12 (6S), Soohey 12 (7R,1B), Anna Budrow 9 (8R,4S,2A), Kassie Lincoln 7 (4S), Marni Jones 4 (4R,4A), and Merissa Look 2 (2R).
Scoring for Rockland were Hannah Plourde 9, Allison Curtis 6, MacArthur 6 (7R), Catherine Fletcher 4, Leia Dennison 2 (6R,2S), Bridghe Curtin 2, and Hannah Sirois 2 (12R,2S).
Lincoln scored the first eight points of the 4th quarter to take the lead for good. Kassie Lincoln scored the first hoop, and fed Katherine Bolster on the second to give the Eagles a one-point lead with 7:24 to play. Marni Jones settled two shots at the foul line and Bolster scored on a feed from Lincoln to put Lincoln up by five.
Maggie Sabine made good at the line for a three-point play to cut the lead to two. Soohey crashed the offensive glass for two to put the Eagles up by four. The Raiders struggled at the foul line, making just two of six foul shots in a span of a minute.
Bolster put Lincoln up by four with 1:34 to play. The Raiders made it a two-point game at the line, before Jones settled two freebies with 34 seconds left to seal the win.
