Lincoln Academy’s young golf team wrapped up their KVAC season with a 6-4 record and seeded third in the KVAC South Division. The Eagles won their first KVAC playoff game over Spruce Mountain, and were then eliminated by Erskine Academy on Monday in the semi-finals.
Scoring in the KVAC playoffs went by team scores, with six participating and the lowest four scores added together. On Friday at Wawenock, Lincoln beat Spruce Mountain 182 to 267. Bailey Plourde scored a 42, Austin Armstrong 50, Liam Brinkler 40, Kobe Lincoln 50, Basel White 50, and Oakley Oliver 58.
On Monday at Natanis, Erskine defeated Lincoln 190-208. Plourde shot a 46, Brinkler 55, Lincoln 58, Dana Hatch 52, Armstrong 56, and White 55.
Lincoln 9 – Spruce Mountain 0
Lincoln defeated Spruce Mountain 9-0 in their final KVAC match of the season on Sept. 24 at Maple Lane in Livermore.
The Eagles shot their lowest team score of the season with a 176. Bailey Plourde was low medalist with a 39. Plourde beat Lucas Alley 5 and 4. Brinkler defeated Trever Doiron 3 and 2. Armstrong topped Ryan Small 5 and 3. Hatch won 5 and 4 over Cameron Mitchell. Lincoln beat Abbie Moreau 5 and 4. White defeated Emily Ouellette 4 and 3.
