Lincoln Academy softball defeated Erskine Academy 6-5 on May 22 in Newcastle. Arianna Gervais and Lexi Hartford singled in the sixth, moved over on a Abby Nelson sacrifice and scored on passed balls for the tying and winning runs.
Kortney McKenna collected the win and Kayla Hodgkins took the loss.
McKenna helped her own cause with a two run homerun in the fifth and a single. Collecting a hit each for the LA Eagles were Anna Hatch a solo homerun in the fourth, Christine Hilton a double, and Khloe Poland, Hartford and Gervais. Hodgkins hit a triple and Krause, Corson, Boynton, Boucher, Wynann, Luly and McLaggen a single each.
