Lincoln Wins West B Quarterfinal Match Over Lisbon, Upset By York

Lincoln Academy boys’ tennis team beat Lisbon 5-0 in the West Class B quarterfinals on June 2 in Newcastle. The playoff match-up featured second ranked and the KVAC champions Eagles (12-1) against seventh ranked and the Mt.Valley champions Greyhounds (8-4).

Jordan Friedland swept Phil Carville 6-0,6-0 at first singles. Cameron Blake blanked Cam Blouin 6-0,6-0 at second singles. Abe Hamilton out stroked Steve Obie 6-0,6-2 at third singles. Patrick Williams and Brandon Blake defeated Evin Keating and Zach Turner 6-3,7-4 at first doubles. Isaac Vesery and Daniel Mayer beat Jacob Boucher and Tim Bobson 6-0, 7-5 at second doubles.

York 3 – Lincoln 2Sixth ranked York upset second seed Lincoln Academy in West Class B semifinal action at the CLC YMCA in Damariscotta on Saturday. Jordan Friedland beat Kofman 6-1,6-1 at first singles. Cameron Blake topped Waldman 7-5,6-4 at second singles. Abe Hamilton fell 2-6,2-6 to Fountain at third singles. Brandon Blake and Patrick Williams fell 3-6,1-6 to Campbell and Lusty. Daniel Mayer and Isaac Vesery lost 3-6,0-6 to Fitzgerald and Lamonica at second doubles.
