Lisbon girls’ basketball team showed no mercy in a 72-32 win over Wiscasset on Dec. 17, running up the score with all five starters on the floor the beginning of the third with a 26 point lead, the final two minutes of the third quarter with a 39 point lead and the first two and a half minutes of the fourth. When the Greyhounds built a 41 point lead, Lisbon sat all five starters for the first time in the ball game.
Lisbon forced 15 Wiscasset turnovers in the first quarter and reaped the benefits to take a 22-2 point lead. Lisbon led 26-11 at the quarter, 43-23 at the half and 66-27 at the end of three. On a bright note, Wiscasset forced 20 Lisbon turnovers, and kept pace on the offensive boards, with Lisbon holding a 35-28 edge.
