The 10th annual Lobster Roll 5K will take place in Boothbay Harbor on Saturday, July 27. The race will start at 8 a.m. near the Boothbay Region YMCA.
For 10 years, Boothbay Region High School cross-country and track and field coach Nick Scott and countless community volunteers have organized the Lobster Roll 5K. Many of those volunteers are former and current parents and supporters of the BRHS cross-country and track teams through the Seahawk Track and Field and Cross-Country Boosters.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Bruce Harris and Joan Chatterton thought it would be cool if they all joined together to be a gold race sponsor. They need to raise $500.
To donate, send checks payable to the Boothbay Region Education Fund to Bruce Harris at P.O. Box 295, Southport, ME 04576. The Boothbay Region Education Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so donations are tax-deductible.
