Saturday was a hugely disappointing day for the Lincoln Academy swim team. The team hosted a 5K off road race at the DRA on Belvedere Road and only four runners showed up.
“Low turnout for sure, not what I was hoping for,” race organizer and swim parent Tom Mullin said. “The LA swim team appreciates all that came out to run and those that came to cheer on the runners.”
Race winner Sean Morin of Marston Mills, Mass., set a new course record in 21:14. Paul Yates of Pemaquid was second in 28:16; Mike Giglia of Damariscotta third in 29:15; and female winner Jenny Leeman placed fourth in 29:25.
