Medomak 7th Boys, Midcoast Girls Win Medomak Midcoast Madness Tourney

Medomak 7th grade travel boys and Midcoast 7th Warrior girls won the Medomak Midcoast Madness basketball tournament held March 18-19.

Tournament MVP’s were Nicholas DePatsy for Medomak 7th, and Brianna Dugan for Midcoast. Selected to the All Tournament team for girls were Justice Barrows (Medomak 7), Taylor Oliver (Coastal 8), Chloe Hallowell (Coastal 7), Ari Curtis (Midcoast), and Emma Plunke (Carrabec).

Selected to the boys’ All Tournament team were John Hepburn (Boothbay), Philip Atwood (Georges Valley), Daren Wood (Wiscasset 7), Zach Starr (Medomak 7), Micah Williamson (Medomak 8) and Colton Spear (Medomak 8).

Midcoast Warriors defeated Carrabec 32-24 in the girls’ championship game. Curtis netted 12 and Dugan 10 for Midcoast. Carrabec was led by Emma Plunke with 14.

It was an all Medomak boys’ championship, with Medomak 7th beating Medomak 8th 45-42. Scoring for Medomak 7th were DePatsy 21, Cortland Fischer 9, Zach Starr 6, Jackson Vail 3, Tucker Prescott 2, Ollie Brown 2, and David Herron 2. Scoring for Medomak 8th were Micah Williamson 17, Colton Spear 8, Hunter Wincapaw 6, Robbie Flint 5, Jamie Temple 4 and Tyler Emerson 2.
