Medomak Valley’s baseball team snapped a four game losing streak on May 13 with a 10-0 five-inning mercy ruling win over Mt. View.
Dale Winchenbach struck out 11 (0B, 3H, 1HP) to collect the shutout win. Alec Davis took the loss for the Mustangs.
The Panthers were powered by Taylor Williamson with a grand slam homerun in the 3rd and Dillon Reed with a two run triple in the 1st inning.
Medomak plated three runs in the 1st on a double to Winchenbach, walk to Steven Genthner and triple to Reed. They added a run in the 2nd when Alex Goldrup singled, stole second and scored on an error.
In the 3rd, Genthner and Reed walked and Isaac Greenrose singled to juice the bases for Williamson’s four-run homerun. The Panthers ended the game early in the bottom of the 5th. Williamson reached on an error, Osier singled and Patrick Thompson walked to set up an RBI single from Goldrup.
Hitting for Medomak were Williamson with a homerun, Reed a triple, Winchenbach a double, and Goldrup, Greenrose, Dustin Osier and John Bartlett a single each. Hitting for Mt. View were Kyle Lemieux a double and Dylan Keller and Erick Neally a single each.
