Medomak Valley boys’ cross country team placed seventh at the Eastern Maine Class B Regionals in Belfast on Saturday to qualify for the State championships, to be held in Belfast on Oct. 27.
“It was great news,” coach George Gould said. “We held Nick (Anderson) out quite a while” hoping to get his ankle healthy. “He had a great race. By getting him in the lineup we were able to qualify,” Gould said of Anderson. It was the seniors’ first race of the season. “That was our hope. We knew with him in the lineup we had a good chance,” Gould added.
