Medomak Boys Improve To 6-1

Medomak Valley Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team improved their record to 6-1 with wins over MCI and Winslow this week.

Medomak 66 – Winthrop 42Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team picked up their fourth straight win on Dec. 28 to improve their record to 5-1. The Black Raiders jumped on the Panthers early, for a 17-12 1st quarter lead. Medomak adjusted and shut Winslow down over the next three quarters, outscoring them 54-25 over the final three periods to win 66-42.

“Derring Genthner, Robbie Griffin and Ryan Ripley had good defensive games. Jon Hendrickson (Belloguet) had a good game. He did everything tonight. It was a total team effort,” coach Nicholas DePatsy said.

Scoring for the Panthers were Shane Osier 16 (7R), Isaac Greenrose 14 (4A), Hendrickson-Belloguet 13, Alex Greenrose 9 (4 for 4 foul line), Brandon Soper 4, Griffin 4, Ripley 4 (10R), Genthner 2, Wil Dow 1 and Kazu Tibbetts 1. Scoring for Winslow were Justin Murray 12, Austin Ireland 8, Caleb Hall 7, Trevor Lovely 5, Jesse Audet 5, Brandon LaBrie 3, and Nathan Nanpher 2. Medomak 62 – MCI 25The Panthers roared over MCI on a road trip in Pittsfield Friday night. Medomak jumped out to a 21-4 1st quarter lead and went on to beat the Huskies 62-25 in a lop-sided contest.

Scoring for the Panthers were Isaac Greenrose 20 (2-3s), Shane Osier 10 (4 for four foul line, 2-3s, 5R), Alex Greenrose 10, Zach Judkins 9, Jon Hendrickson-Belloguet 5, Brandon Soper 2, Robbie Griffin 2, Kazu Tibbetts 2 and Ryan Ripley 2 (6R). Scoring for MCI were Trey Vintiner 12, Zach Fortin 3 and Adam Ogden, BJ Philbrook, Mitchell Hallee, Tian Tang and Chris Bordeau 2 each
