Medomak boys tennis defeated Gardiner 3-1 on May 4 in Waldoboro to improve to 2-2. Richard Kinney lost a close match to Charlie Caldwell 5-7, 6-7 at first singles. Kyle Donlin clipped Arthur Taylor 6-2, 6-0 at second singles. Quinn Ashmore played Casey V-Bossche to a draw at third singles. Ashmore won the first set 7-5, and was tied 5-5 in the second set, when the match was called due to lack of light. “They both played an incredible match with long, very hard fought points,” coach Bill Hinkley said.
Casey Libby and Greg Wadsworth teamed up at first doubles to beat Ben Beaulieu and Jed Malinowski 6-0, 6-2. Amos Hinkley and Alec Coughlin rallied from behind to defeat Evan Wells and Dustin Allard in three sets, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 at second doubles.
