Medomak Valley cheerleaders (seven time Regional champions) placed third at the State Class B championships on Sat., Feb. 11 at the Augusta Civic Center. Hermon girls won with 88.1 points, followed by Ellsworth 85.2, Medomak 84.1, Old Town 76.3, Leavitt 68, Wells 67.9, John Bapst 65.9, Presque Isle 63.8, Mt.Valley 63.8, Freeport 61.2, Morse 58 and Gardiner 53.6.
Lisbon won the State C competition with 70.9 points, followed by Central 68.2, Houlton 67, Sumner 65.9, Bucksport 65.2, Orono 64.3, Mattanawcook 59.3, Monmouth 56.3, Sacoppee 53.8, Dirigo 53.5, Wiscasset 51.5 and Boothbay 48.5.
