Medomak Valley girls improved their record to 12-1 with one game to go, at Gardiner on Oct. 15.
Medomak 4 – Mt. View 1
After an ugly first half, the Panthers netted four goals in the second to pull out a 4-1 win at Mt. View. Roxanne Jelenfy broke the scoring blight on a pass from Maia Snow. Alanna Vose scored a minute later with Taylor Keefe picking up the assist. Snow scored for the third Panther goal in a three-minute span. Alexis Bennett put the Mustangs on the board. Jelenfy added her second goal of the day with one minute remaining.
Rachel Keefe and Erika Christensen combined for two saves for the Panthers, and Amanda Larabee made nine stops for Mt. View.
Medomak 3 – Oak Hill 0
Keefe made six saves to earn the shutout at Oak Hill on Oct. 10. Former Lincoln Academy keeper Alex Donald made 11 saves for the Raiders.
Kasey Benner opened scoring on a feed from Snow. The duo combined again with 1:30 to go. “Maia did a great job getting rid of the ball, as she was being marked well,” coach Owen Campbell said, commenting. Snow added a second half goal.
