Medomak Valley girls basketball team opened their KVAC season with a 66-61 overtime win over Gardiner. Gabby DePatsy scored an outside jumper on a feed from Hallie Kunesh to knot the score 54-54 at the end of regulation. DePatsy and Kunesh hit big three pointers in OT, which forced the Tigers to foul. The Panthers made five of eight foul shots in the final 1:06 to pull out the win.
Scoring leaders for Medomak were DePatsy with 30 points, Kunesh 13, and Sadie Cohen 9. Gardiner was led by Mikayla Bourassa 13, Lesliee Stevens 13, Aimee Adams 11 and Bailey Poore 11.
