Medomak Valley softball nipped Nokomis 2-1 on May 19 in Waldoboro. Gabby DePatsy struck out 10 in the win. Brittany Bubar struck out eight in the loss.
Trailing 1-0, Medomak rallied for two runs in the bottom of the fifth to win. Aubrey Schaeffer hit a double and scored when Cassie Smeltzer reached on an error. Smeltzer scored on a Lydia Simmons single.
