Medomak Valley softball defeated Waterville 2-0 in an exciting match-up May 17 in Purple Panther territory. Addie Jameson struck out 11 in the win and scattered four hits. Madison Claves struck out 13 in the loss.
Medomak scored a run in the first on doubles to Lydia Simmons and Gabby DePatsy (RBI). They added a run in the seventh when Emily Wotton reached on an error, advanced on a Jameson single and scored on a wild pitch.
Hitting for Medomak were DePatsy with a triple and double, Simmons a double and single, Wotton and Kayla Donlin a double each, and Jameson a single. Hitting for Waterville were Shelby Place, Colby Dangler, Molly Wasilewski and Kelsey Cloutis with a single each.
