Medomak Valley softball defeated top seed Oceanside 4-2 Friday night to win the KVAC championship. Desiree Benner pitched out of a no outs bases loaded jam inthe sixth inning, then retired the Mariners in order in the 7th. Amanda Hendrickson made two outstanding plays at third base including a double play in the first inning. Bridgette Miller robbed Kennadi Grover of a hit with a nice running catch in right field in the bottom of the fifth. Hedrickson hit a two run single in the fifth to tie the score and Lauren Guptill hit a RBI single driving in Heidi Obuchon for the go ahead run in the sixth.
