Medomak Valley split their Homecoming games with Lincoln Academy on Saturday. Both Panther boys soccer teams were victorious, and both Lincoln girls teams won.
Medomak boys soccer defeated Lincoln 2-0. Both goals were scored against the wind in the first half on breakaways. Zidane McMurrin scored the first goal on a long pass from Sam Morrill. Eagle keeper Wally Morris came out on the play and partially blocked McMurrin’s shot, which slowly rolled into the far corner. Morrill scored the second goal on a long ball from Micah Williamson.
In the girls game, The Eagles won 4-0. Scoring for Lincoln were Lillian Bissett, Leslie Sandefur, Dorothy Hodous and Sophie Schumacher, with Ashley Mason, Schumacher and Hodous picking up assists.
Medomak JV boys won 5-1. Edward Peng gave the Eagles an early lead, before the Panthers scored five unanswered goals. Patrick White scored two, and Kyle Donlin, Cameron Leach and Nick Grover one each.
Lincoln JV girls rallied from two down to beat Medomak 5-2. Anna Wadsworth and Morgan Smith gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead. Kate Organ netted three second half goals for the Eagles and Anna Hatch and Isabel Carlson added one each.
