Medomak Valley returns a strong nucleus of athletes to their 2010 track and field team. The girls’ team will be anchored by Morgan Baum and the members of the 4×800 relay team.
Baum is the defending KVAC javelin champion and placed in the top 10 in State Class B in the javelin and discus. The 4×800 relay team won two straight indoor titles and placed second in the 2009 outdoor season with a school record (10.26). The 4×800 team members include Kiana Ocean, Megan Wyllie, Taylor Keefe and Gwen Moiles.
The Lady Panthers placed three girls in the top 10 in the 1600 in the KVAC mile, including Moiles (5th), Ocean (8th), and Nicole Weaver (9th). Other returning standouts include Ashley Rackliff (8th KVAC 400), and the entire girls’ 4×100 team that placed 8th in the KVAC last year including Julie Ennamorati, Weaver, Rackliff and Lacey Massengale.
Girls’ team members include Ocean, Baum, Keefe, Massengale, Selena Ding, Moiles, Weaver, Wyllie, Rackliff, Laura Beal, Katja Assfalg, Roxanne Jelenfy, Ennamorati, Heidi Harris, Desiree Leary, Abbie Vail, Brianna Gross, Jessica Prescott, Kelsie Grady, Emily Leach, and manager Erika Knutson.
