Medomak Middle School’s wrestling team placed third at the Pine Tree Wrestling League East Regional championships March 19 in Belfast. Camden Rockport won the East title and Mattanawcook placed second.
Eight Medomak Riverhawks placed at the championships to qualify for the State meet. Marshall Sawyer (87), Duncan Widdecombe (117), Elijah Lash (170) and Erik Benner (195) won East Regional titles. Dylan O’Reilly (155) placed second, Jakob Gess (155) third, and Brady Carter (81) and Tyler Cox (137) placed fourth.
