Medomak Middle School wrestlers competed in two away meets this week, at Morse on March 4 and at Hermon on March 7. The Riverhawks split their meets, defeating Oxford Hills 36-18, CLAW 42-18 and Hermon 58-22, and falling to Bath 61-24, Brewer 54-33, and Bucksport 48-36. Dylan Look won all six of his matches.
Kevin Donlin (110) lost a 16-7 major decision to Gillian (Ba), won three by forfeit, was pinned by Staples (H) in 1:01 and by Stewart (Bu) in 49 seconds. Zach Rideout (117) lost a 6-5 decision to Alvarez (Ba), won two by forfeit, pinned Abutaleb (Br) in 1:41, pinned Rediker (H) in 28 seconds, and pinned Baker (Bu) in 54 seconds.
Cyril Miller (138) pinned Bolden (Ba) in 3:53, pinned Travis Gilbert (CLAW) in 30 seconds, won three by forfeit, and was pinned by Bishop (H) in 58 seconds. Travis Reed (145) pinned Lont (Ba) in 50 seconds, pinned Blake Hay (CLAW) in 32 seconds, and won four matches by forfeit.
Heaven Dow (155) pinned Nichols (Ba) in 46 seconds, won two by forfeit, was pinned by Bouchard (Br) in 1:17, lost 13-0 to Willy (H) and pinned Paradise (Bu) in 21 seconds.
Dylan Look (170) pinned Chandler (Ba) in 17 seconds, pinned Drew Bryant (CLAW) in 3:34, pinned Peterson (O) in 39 seconds, beat Irwin (Br) by 12-5 major decision, beat Urqhir (H) by 15-4 decision, and won by forfeit.
Zach James (190) was pinned by Mixon (Ba) in 33 seconds, pinned by Derek Woodbury (CLAW) in 28 seconds, by Thompson (O) in 1:43, won by forfeit, was pinned by George (H) in 23 seconds, and by Seidel (Bu) in 56 seconds. Danielle Lawson (210) was pinned by Renaud (Ba) in 22 seconds, won three by forfeit, was pinned by Leahy (O) in 38 seconds, and by Hall (Br) in 15 seconds.
CLAW wrestlers also won over Oxford Hills. Mark Zaccadelli (75), Todd Anderson (96), Gilbert (131), and Hay (138) won by forfeit. Bryant (155) wrestled up (170) against Peterson and won by pin in 49 seconds. Derek Woodbury (170) wrestled up (190) against Thompson and won by pin in 28 seconds. Zaccadelli lost a hard fought match 20-6 against Bath, Gilbert lost to Bath, and Anderson won a 6-4 decision over Bath.
