Ten Mobius Special Olympics swim team members traveled to Bates College in Lewiston to compete in the state swim meet. “It was a long day, but the swimmers each did very well and enjoyed their day,” coach Fondy York said.
Evan brought home a gold medal in the 25 free flotation. Josh P. won gold in the 25 free and took bronze in the 50 free. James won the 25 free and took fourth in the 25 butterfly. Team Mobius won gold in the 100 yard relay with Josh S., Jay, Josh P. and Danny swimming a leg.
Silver medals went to Jill in the 15 free; Mark in the 25 free flotation, Danny in the 25 butterfly, Jay in the 25 free and Josh S. in the 50 free. Earning bronze were Will in the 25 back; Danny in the 50 free; and Josh S. in the 50 back.
Vikki placed fifth in the 25 free, and Will placed sixth in the 25 free.
