Mt. View defeated Lincoln boys’ soccer Monday 2-1. The Mustangs jumped out to a 2-0 half-time lead. Kyle Lemieux scored on a breakaway four minutes into the game, and Nick Stewert scored five minutes later on a deflected shot off an Eagle defender.
Lincoln got on the boards midway through the second half when Ethan Wajer found Troy Carter open on the 12 yard mark. Lincoln held a 17-9 advantage in shots. Kyle Scherer made six saves in net for Lincoln, and Nick Knight 11 in net for Mt. View.
With the loss, Lincoln evens their record at 5-5 with four games to go.
