The Mountain Valley Conference announced its all-star teams this week. All-Stars from Wiscasset High School (WHS) and Boothbay Region (BB) listed by sport are as follows:
Girls tennis – MacKenzie Colby (BB) and Miranda McIntire (WHS) made the MVC First Team. Honorable Mention awards went to Hanna Foye (WHS), Maeve Carlson (WHS), Angela Machon (BB), and Anna Baumm (BB).
Boys tennis – Nick Gorey was named MVC boys tennis player of the year. Gorey (BB) and Tom Anderson (WHS) were named to the MVC First Team. Ray Perry (BB) and Dan Drummond (BB) were named to the MVC Second Team. Honorable Mention awards went to Collin Thompson (BB), Duncan Drapeau (BB), Ethan James (WHS), and Ridge Barnes (WHS).
Boys track – Kyle Alamo (BB) and Abel Bryer were named to the MVC Second Team. MVC Honorable Mention went to Joey Paolillo (BB), Matt Burnham (BB), Trystan Mercier (BB), Kyle Ames (BB), Kyler Karty (BB), Abel Bryer (BB), Antonio Maulolo (BB), and Shane Johnson (BB).
Girls track – Morgan Crocker (BB) and Hannah Morley (BB) were named to the MVC First Team, and Morgan Crocker (BB) was also named to the MVC Second Team. Freshmen record holder Ayanna Main (WHS) was named to the MVC Second Team. Morgan Crocker was named MVC Track and Field Athlete of the Year. MVC Honorable Mention went to Hannah Morley (BB), Sinead Miller (BB), Taylor Walby (BB), Angie Perkins (BB), and Ayanna Main (WHS).
Baseball Honorable Mention Awards went to Carter Babcock (BB), Zach Vise (BB), Grant Hefler (WHS), and Tyler Bailey (WHS).
Softball Honorable Mention Awards went to Gagney O’Brien (BB), Nicole Rice (BB), Kayla Gordon (WHS), and Charlene Reed (WHS).
MVC Academic All-Stars
Fourteen Lincoln County student-athletes were named Mountain Valley Conference Academic All-Stars, including Boothbay Region’s Nichole Bowman, Leaonna Dunphy, Emma Foss, Qjanyi Lucia Jiang, Kilee Nile, Emma Pluntke, Adam Poulin, and Jerzee Rugh, and Wiscasset’s Ridge Barnes, Maeve Carlson, Hanna Foye, Kayla Gordon, Miranda McIntire, and Hannah Welborn.
