Medomak Valley wrestling team competed in three meets this week, beating Monmouth 42-24, and falling to Mt Ararat 53-16, Mt.Valley 66-10, Camden 70-6, Gardiner 36-30 and Mt. Blue 39-30. Steven Genthner dropped down to the 145-pound weight class and won all five matches.
Ben Lufkin (112) won by forfeit, and pinned Marcotte (MB) in 1:00.
Cheyenne Augustine (119) lost 15-5 to Magoon (MV), lost 10-2 to Bragg (CH), won by pin over McInnis (M), and was pinned by Delgallo (G) in the 2nd period.
Nathaniel McBrien (125) pinned Ross (MV), was pinned by Cassidy (C) in 46 seconds, by Coulombe (M) in 1:54, by Thorton (G) in 37 seconds, and won by forfeit.
Taylor Olsen (135) was pinned by Matthews (MV), by Rich (CH) in 1:29, won by pin over Cushman (M) in 31 seconds, over Abram (G) in 1:27 and was pinned by Ingram (MB) in 1:59.
Adam Lynch (140) lost by 17-2 tech fall to Thornton (MV), was pinned by Simpkins (CH) in 1:24, won by forfeit, won by pin over Robbins (G) in 2:27, and lost a 10-8 decision to Ingram (MB).
Steven Genthner (145) beat Carey (MV) by 13-0 decision, pinned Powers (CH) in 4:34, won by forfeit, pinned Smith (G) in 1:56, and pinned Faulkner (MB) in 1:10.
Borja Valcazar (152) was pinned by Duka (MV), by Muir (CH) in 1:33, and by Brown (G) in 1:34.
Jonathan Storer (171) lost an 11-10 decision to Cooley (MV), was pinned by Batty (CH) in 2:36, won by forfeit, was pinned by Michaud (G) in 48 seconds, and won by pin over Hodgkin (MB) in 39 seconds.
