Nokomis defeated Lincoln Academy girls basketball team 56-34 Saturday night to win the KVAC championship, at Cony High School in Augusta. The Eagles stayed with Nokomis for the first 12 minutes of play. Hot shooting Nokomis pulled away late in the second quarter to lead 22-12 at the half.
Nokomis was led Taylor Shaw 14 and Anna Makenzie 12. Lincoln was led by Jen Genthner 12.
