Oceanside girls soccer team defeated Lincoln Academy 1-0 on Aug. 31 in KVA opener in Thomaston. The Lady Eagles held a 21-5 advantage in shots, but were unable to punch a shot past Abigail Veilleux in net for the Mariners.
Gabby Straka scored the game winner for the Mariners 14 minutes into the first half when she converted a rebounded shot.
