Oceanside baseball defeated Medomak Valley 5-4 in nine innings on April 27 at Morrill Field in Rockland. Uriah Thongsophaphone scored the winning run, after reaching on a controversial hit by a pitch call. The home plate umpire said Thongsophaphone made no attempt to get out of the way. Oceanside coach Don Shields protested the play, and the field umpire met with the plate umpire, who reversed his call and awarded the Mariner first base. Thongsophaphone went on to score on a Titus Kaewthong single.
Hitting for Medomak were Brent Stewart with three singles (3RBI), and Jordan Powell, Clayton Belcher and Wyatt Fillmore a single each. Hitting for Oceanside were Kaewthong with a double and two singles, Doherty three singles, Thongsophaphone and Logan Sheridan two singles each and Jack Freeman a double.
