Lincoln County Little League 9&10 baseball All-stars were eliminated from District 2 play on July 13 by Oceanside. Lincoln led 10-3 heading into the fourth inning, before a trip of pitchers struggled to find the plate. Oceanside took advantage of walks and errors over the next two innings to pull out the come from behind win.
Oceanside had just one hit in the win, a fourth inning single to Connor Kingsbury. Pitching in the win for Oceanside were Mathias McFale, Kingsbury and Eben Morse.
Pitching in the loss for Lincoln County were AJ Giberson, Tucker Geyer, Tyler Blanc, Will Bradley and Zaid Osman.
Lincoln County had five “Little League” inside the park homeruns, after reaching base on a hit and scurrying around the bases on error(s). Lincoln was led at the plate by Sam Markowitz with two doubles and a single, Osman and Maddox Cusumano a double each, and Giberson, Geyer, and Haiden Sanborn a single each.
