Malcolm Oliver and Bailey Plourde tied for fourth in the Maine Golf Association’s mixed championships on July 12 at the Boothbay Region Country Club.
The duo shot a one over 71. They made two birdies and bogied the third, fourth, and fifth holes.
They shot a 38 on the front nine and a 34 on the back.
Plourde 4th in New England
Plourde finished fourth for juniors at the New England Women’s Golf Association championships July 7 to 9 at Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, Mass.
She tied for 13th overall in the women’s tournament.
She finished eight strokes behind junior winner Julia Kemmling.
Plourde shot three 18-hole rounds, scoring 78, 78, and 83 for a 54-hole total of 239.
Oliver ties for 13th in Maine Amateur
Malcolm Oliver finished in a tie for 13th in the Maine Amateur Championship, which concluded July 9 at the Waterville Country Club.
Oliver, who had fired a two-under 68 during Wednesday’s second round, closed with a 77 for a 54-hole tally of 221. For the tournament, he counted nine birdies and 30 pars.
