Bentley University freshman and Lincoln Academy graduate Malcolm Oliver, Damariscotta, has been named the Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference following his strong play at the Bayside Resort Invitational March 16 to 17.
Playing in the opening tournament of the spring season at the Bayside Resort in Selbyville, Del., Oliver had a team-best 76-81-157 during the two-day event. He was tied for second amongst Northeast-10 players and tied for 11th overall in a field of 72.
Oliver, the NE-10 Rookie of the Week for the third time, is third on the team with a 78.7 stroke average and he has finished in the 70s in five of his last seven rounds.
